MAATTY is a young, emerging Czech artist living with autism. His work is defined by precise, abstract linear compositions, often inspired by urban systems, maps, and movement in space. What began as a childhood fascination with public transit maps became a powerful visual language rooted in repetition, rhythm, and geometric storytelling.
From an early age, it became clear that visual structures had a calming andorganizing effect on him. Over the years, this evolved into a unique artistic expression — combining architectural logic with emotional intensity. MAATTY works primarily with acrylic on canvas, using masking tape, grid systems, and his exceptional visual memory.
In 2025, he was named to the Forbes Czech Republic “30 under 30” list, a recognition not only of his artistic impact but also of the meaningful, human narrative that runs through his work. Despite communication barriers, MAATTY expresses himself fully through his art. His paintings are more than compositions — they are maps of emotion, portraits of thought, and bridges between inner and outer worlds.
Champions by MAATTY was his most ambitious project yet, marking the first time he has merged his love of structure with the energy of live sport. MAATTY didn't stop at capturing the world of equestrian sport. He also found a way to translate the movement of a tennis ball into a series of paintings. And last month, one of them, Wimbledon, found its permanent home in the Wimbledon museum in London.
CHAMPIONS SERIES
MAATTY followed the Longines Global Champions Tour and created a series of paintings dedicated to its individual destinations around the world.
There are no horses in the paintings. But show jumping is present in every painting.
MAATTY's visual language is based on maps, lines, geometry, movement and colour. For each Champions painting, he took the actual course of the individual show jumping competition at that particular Global Champions Tour destination and transformed it into his own abstract visual language.
Each painting captures the rhythm, geometry, and atmosphere of a unique show jumping course. Created shortly after every Global Champions event, they tell the story of sport turned into emotion.
The series captures the emotional and visual essence of each of the 17 LonginesGlobal Champions Tour Grand Prix races of the 2025 season.
Every canvas represents one city – one course – one atmosphere.
