Carys Jones is an award-winning equine fine art photographer, who travels internationally to
create her images, seeking out horses in their native environments. She is drawn to locations offering soft palettes and to situations allowing her to observe horses in their native habitats, where they are free to exhibit natural equine behaviour. Regular destinations to date include Iceland, Portugal, Norway, The Netherlands, France, Austria and the Outer Hebrides in Scotland.

Carys is renowned for her particularly creative approach to equine photography. She often uses slow shutter speeds, multiple exposures, intentional movement of the camera and other in-camera techniques to create her striking abstract equine images.

Carys is fortunate enough to combine and pursue her two passions - horses and photography - both of which have their roots in her childhood when she was fortunate enough to grow up surrounded by horses and with early access to a camera. These days, her work regularly appears in print in national titles and online magazines, whilst her clients have included national and international retailers and she has pieces held in private collections worldwide.

Carys exhibits her work regularly and when not travelling, she can usually be found in the stables with her own horse. She is also a member of renowned photographic collective, the Parhelion Group.
