A European artist in search of composition and painting as a reflection between colour impression and movement. The themes remain recognizable, yet the main effect is a mood, an emotion. Through an equilibrium of abstract and figural elements, interspersed with impressionistic accents and great expressive power, the artist establishes his own, personal style.

Robert Hettich is deeply fascinated by equestrian sport called "polo". In this sport, he finds explosive power in movement sequences and dynamic swiftness which matches his painting style. He has always occupied himself with horses and landscape during his career. In this regard, Robert seems to indulge in a certain representational fury and expository rapture. A rapture which enables to incorporate the impetuous energy of animals during the painting process.

The polo scenes are composed with the aid of agile strokes of his painting brush. Thereby, every brush stroke, which shapes the polo scenes, is set with great precision, strong concentration, utmost accuracy and graceful certainty. The diversity of Robert Hettich's artistic works is impressive.
