Supporting Charity through Art at the Coronation Cup (UK)

We are a contemporary art gallery passionate about connecting fine art with cultural and sporting events. This July, we had the great pleasure of accepting an invitation from the Hurlingham Polo Association to attend the Coronation Cup at Guards Polo Club, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the official rules of polo in England.

As part of the event, we were proud to contribute to a meaningful cause by donating a painting by Anna Cher in support of the charity Power of Polo.

Power of Polo is a small, grassroots charity which uses the sport of polo as a tool for change. It works with partner charities and the polo community to deliver programmes for people facing adversity, working to foster resilience and confidence, encourage teamwork, drive social-mobility and inspire and empower participants to changes their lives for the better.

The charity is unique in harnessing the benefits of both human-equine intervention and team sport, and has recently become affiliated to the Hurlingham Polo Association, polo’s governing body. Katy Hayward, Power of Polo’s CEO and Founder, said “We are hugely grateful to Anna Cher for donating this stunning picture to us; it will allow us to raise vital funds to continue our work. Watch this space for further updates!  Anna is such a talented artist and it means so much that she wants to support us; thank you to the HPA for connecting us."

We are delighted to have played a small part in this powerful initiative. The donated artwork by Anna Cher embodies the passion, energy, and joy of the sport, and we hope it brings both inspiration and meaningful support to the charity's incredible work.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the organisers for allowing us to be part of this outstanding event and charitable mission.
