Celebrating the Coronation Cup at Guards Polo Club (UK)
We were honoured to receive an invitation from the Hurlingham Polo Association to attend the Coronation Cup at Guards Polo Club – one of the sport’s most prestigious events – and to join in the celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of polo in England.

Closely associated with the British Royal Family, Guards Polo Club is home to some of the most distinguished events in the global polo calendar. The highlight of this season, the Hurlingham Polo Association’s International Day, took place on Saturday 26 July 2025 at the magnificent Windsor Great Park.

This year, the Coronation Cup saw England face Brazil – a historic fourth meeting between these two top-tier polo nations. England emerged victorious with a decisive 16–7 win, securing their twenty-second Coronation Cup triumph since the revival of the match in 1971. Brazil, a formidable opponent with three World Championship titles (1995, 2001, 2004), brought great energy and flair to the pitch.
The Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA), the sport’s governing body in the UK, Ireland, and many countries worldwide, plays a vital role in maintaining the standards and spirit of polo through its regulation and promotion of the game.

Our gallery was delighted to take part in this special day with a collection of stunning equestrian artworks by artist Anna Cher. Anna’s painting was proudly selected as the cover of the event programme. She also presented a live painting performance during the match, capturing the vibrant atmosphere and dynamic spirit of the game.

Anna's semi-abstract acrylic works, painted with palette knives, reflect the raw power, grace, and rhythm of polo. Her expressive brushwork balances spontaneity with realism, portraying the thrilling speed, strength, and elegance of both players and horses.

We were truly thrilled to be part of such a remarkable and historic celebration of sport and culture.
