White Turf St Moritz

Since 1907, White Turf St. Moritz has been one of the most unique and thrilling equestrian events in the world. Held annually on the frozen Lake St. Moritz, this exciting horse racing festival attracts over 30,000 spectators each February. The 2025 edition will take place on the 2nd, 9th, and 16th of February, offering an action-packed programme of races and entertainment.

The highlight of White Turf is the exclusive skikjöring event, where skilled competitors on skis are pulled by riderless thoroughbred horses at speeds of up to 50 km/h. This high-speed race across a 2,700-metre course demands exceptional courage, strength, and skill. Alongside skikjöring, there are also flat races and trotting events, showcasing the speed and agility of Europe's finest thoroughbreds.

In addition to the thrilling races, the event features a lively tent city offering a range of attractions for all ages. Visitors can enjoy live music, delicious food, shopping, and a children’s play area, creating a festive atmosphere that draws horse lovers, families, and international guests alike.

As part of Switzerland's prestigious “Swiss Top Events,” White Turf has evolved over the years into the premier winter equestrian event. The Evangelos Pistiolis Foundation 84th Grand Prix of St. Moritz, with its impressive prize fund, and the UBS Skikjöring Trophy are among the major highlights. Over the years, several addition add-ons have evolved, such as the popular Family Days which are held on Saturday.

White Turf St. Moritz is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable winter experience, combining the excitement of horse racing with a glamorous social atmosphere.
